Easter

It was an absolutely beautiful weekend here on the hill. It was in the 70's today with the sun out all day. Avery had an Easter egg hunt this morning in the front yard.  It was fun to watch her as she was so excited with each egg that she found.  I made Easter dinner for the Smith's today-turkey with roasted veggies and stuffing made with gluten free bread. That was very interesting and really okay. Megan was just happy to be eating bread. I took Barkley for two walks --Megan joined me for one of them. I still have to stop to catch my breath half way up the hills on the early walk.

We all went to a Timber's game last night. Soccer is very popular in Portland and Timber tickets are sold out for the season. The crowd is very into cheering and chanting with one section of fans constantly cheering (in unison) throughout the game. With everyone standing the entire 90 minute game it made the game even more exciting. When the Timbers scored a goal the crowd went wild and green smoke arose from the cheering section--unfortunately, they lost the game but not for lack of enthusiasm from the fans. Avery practiced the cheer PT--FB (Portland Timbers--Foot Ball) on the way to the game.

I just have to admit that my life consists of a constant  state of 'getting organized.' I went through 2 boxes of files this past week and weeded it down to 1 1/2 boxes and still have things I really should discard.

This week I hope to get a new driver's license, plates for the car, and a library card. I am also planning a trip to Cove, OR to visit Wayne and Rosemary--that is why I need the library card--to check out books on tape for that 5 hour drive.

  1. Go, Timbers! That green smoked caused many to gag over in our section. Darn, wind.

So close! It's PT FC (for Portland Timbers Football Club). But Avery could chant QX--SK and nobody'd care. She's too cute in that hat!
