Weather

I promised myself I was not going to talk about the weather --but it is a big part of living here. It rained all day yesterday but has let up today with just a fine misty rain. The bigger problem is Barkley. He has a coat that is full and long and it takes him some time to dry off --and then he wants out again. Portlanders use some kind of black mulch and of course every time he walks through it it comes in on his paws. I have been using lots of old 'dog towels' left over from Eddie and Turtle days but it seems like it is never ending.


I finally ventured out on my own today and made a trip to the grocery store.  The directions were easy to follow but I have a lot to learn on how to navigate around Portland.
